Paragon Reproduction of Service for Queen Mary Cup and Saucer

This beautiful cup and saucer set was reproduced in the late 1930's and continued into the 1950's. It is heavy porcelain, gold laurel on blue and floral decoration. It is called "Scalloped" and numbered 8902. It is artist signed "A.D. Hollond" on both the cup and saucer. The design was a commission by Queen Mary of Teck (1867-1953), Queen Elizabeth's Grandmother. The original copyright date was April 22, 1913. In very good condition. There are some signs of use with rub/wear marks to the gold throughout and there is one small area where blue shows through on one paneled section inside the cup. (see last photo). No cracks or chips.

 

Dimensions:

Cup measures 4” in diameter and 2.25” tall

Saucer is 5.75” in diameter
