Pair of Late 19th Century Lions Head Barley Twist Arm Chairs

Prominent lion's head carvings are a focal point of these late Victorian period chairs, symbolizing strength, courage, and majesty. These chairs are large and imposing, designed to command attention and make a statement in a room. The scale contributes to their regal and throne-like appearance.

Chairs of this type are not just pieces of furniture; they are artistic masterpieces that carry a sense of history, craftsmanship, and symbolism. Their presence in a room can transform the space into a regal and dignified setting.

In excellent condition with no repairs, tears in the upholstery or unpleasant odors. There is a very small flawed area of residue on the upholstered back of one chair as seen in the last photo.

Dimensions (per chair)

  • 24 1/4" wide
  • 24 1/4"deep
  • 48" high
